  1. I like your sass! You are funny and a little bit of a smart ass. It makes the daunting task of learning about nutrition a lot more approachable! 😀

  2. Hey Lily! Thanks for this and the acne series!! Just, where is episode 2? 😦

  3. I'm curious as to what WHO article you're referring to when you say that they only recommend that 5% of your energy intake should come from protein (at 9:00)? The one I found states that the safe lower limit is 0.83g protein/kg body weight (across "both sexes, at all ages, and for all body weights
within the acceptable range"). For a 65kg person who consumes 2000kcal per day, that would make up 54g protein, or (216kcal/2000kcal=) 11% of their daily caloric intake. Up to double the 0.83g/kg intake is not associated with any risks according WHO. Link to the article:

The section "14.2 Protein requirements of adults" can be found on page 242. I'm not on the crazy-high protein bandwagon but advising your followers to consume only half of what WHO advises is the lowest safe limit seems very worrying to me.

  4. It's been 3 years since you filmed these weight loss series. Do you still believe in these principles? Just curious. I want to lose weight long term without calorie restriction

  5. Wish you would just say WHOLE PLANT FOODS without focusing on carbs. Totally unessarry (ef me i can't spell that)

  6. Hey, Lily! Do you have any research sources or links to articles about why high carb vegan is better for weight loss than, for example, including a moderate amount of natural fats and proteins (avocados, nuts, etc.)? I would also love to read some more about how much protein our body really needs if you could pass on some of those sources. I've been thinking for my height, 5'6", I need at least 47 grams of protein per day. If that's not true, I would love to know! Thanks a lot for the series!

  7. Thoughts on pea protein powder? I have a gastrointestinal condition and can’t eat most legumes

  8. Hy. I love all the good information. What do you think about intermittent fasting while eating a whole food diet?

  9. You are a massive answer to my prayers!! I wish you did private coaching to help us through retraining our diets and minds about food and calories!

  10. please make merch; we need a shirt that says WHOLE HIGH CARB PLANT FOODS in a couple different fonts stacked. Yep, yes please.

  11. I wanted to get healthier so I started to eat only whole plant based foods and it messed up my hormones like crazy 🙁 my blood sugar levels went up, I gained 10 kilos and developed cystic acne. I dont understand what I was doing wrong.. my staple foods were oven roasted veggies (mainly carrots, betts, aubergines, zucchinis, sweet potatoes and onions), chickpeas, peanut butter, bananas and lime water. I was doing everything right, now I'm so discouraged and still dealing with my weight gain and scarring on my skin 🙁

  12. I love it! You are so great. It´s fun to learn more about my body and brain.

  13. Just wanted to say I think your videos are really irresponsible even if you do have good intentions. This is coming from someone who used to be a big fan and message you about nutrition advice frequently. I foolishly believed everything I was being told by you and youtubers like you. I defended this diet to the point of extremism and isolation. I spouted out every witty, pompous, come-back I was prepped with (by YouTubers) in defense of this magical, ethical lifestyle…
You are not a doctor or nutritionist and you are giving out false information that you justify with anecdotes and falasies. I'm dissapointed I fell for this HCLF vegan crap 3 years ago and now my health is wrecked. You, Freelee, That Vegan Couple and others like you need to stop acting like you KNOW so much just because you have personally had good results on a diet. You are spreading misinformation and none of your videos (or theirs) are transparent about your lack of real knowledge on the subject. It's just another non-sustainable, privladged, unhealthy, gemmicky diet plan you all use to sell cook books and get views. You are selling false promises and a false sense of moral superiority…nothing more. The more I delve into this YouTube culture the more I realized it is being lead by very lonely, mentally ill individuals who desperately want to stay thin at all costs and have a need to feel like they are better than others. The cult mind of veganism will be the death of it eventually. It's sad because we all should certainly strive to reduce suffering and try to be moral individuals. But you are not a professional and you need to stop.

  14. Hi!I love these videos!!I was wondering what plant based milk u would recommend?

  15. Hi there! I was just watching some videos on The Vegan Couple's channel where I came across a shout out to you, from them! I am so happy to have found your channel- I've decided to follow along with your "program"?! Advice* Direction* lol Anyway, My question is — I have had a surgical procedure which removed 80% of my stomach, which means I physically cannot hold much food. Would I still be able to follow your weight loss series? I just wonder how to get so many calories in with a physically limited sized tummy. Any light you could shed on this? Thanks so much, and I'm looking forward to throwing everything I've ever known about "dieting" out the window and just let my body do what it's supposed to do! How liberating this is <3 <3 <3

  16. Hey Lily what about vitamin E? I checked chronometer lately and I struggle to keep it high.

  17. One more time for the people in the back "whole high carb plant foods!!!"

  18. I know I am so late to the show on this series but it is EXACTLY what I need right now. I have been on a restricted calorie, whole foods plant based diet at 1650 calories for about 5 months now and am plateauing. I have been getting frustrated, not understanding why I'm not losing anymore then I found you lol. Your series is still educating people over a year later! Thank you💚🌱❤
